Arranged Mediation

Arranged mediation is a very successful means of overcoming conflicts in connection with separation and divorce in the long term. It does not create winners and losers, but turns those affected into participants. They do not let the living conditions after a separation or divorce be dictated to a third party (e.g. a judge), but shape them independently. This works best when the following conditions are met:
  • Specialists support parents in structuring their living conditions after a separation
  • The parents can deal with each other as equals, there is no fixed power imbalance
  • Even in a difficult and often emotionally charged situation, the parents succeed in including the wishes of their children
We support the approach of developing a relatively detailed parenting plan as part of an arranged mediation. This not only eliminates many threatening conflicts. It is more important that the
Parents learn in the process of working out how they can constructively solve any differences of opinion that arise independently in the future.
